Our two-part concert series seeks to delight the audience with the interpretation of pieces recognized and celebrated the opera repertoire and musical arts world. It is a musical journey through key pieces of the repertoire mezzo-soprano in an intimate atmosphere that allows interacting with characters and songs of Western composers of different time periods.
Fundacion de Artistas is proud to announce our first annual Benefit Gala, in support of the arts in the Yucatan. We are honored to inaugurate the historic exhibition of Los Caprichos and Los Disparates, by the world-renowned Spanish artist Francisco Goya.
Tropical, Power and Transformation are three distinct words that evoke the mesmerizing presence of the Yucatán. The inspiration drawn from native creative entities is certainly influenced by the lands’ many components such as its nature, its social-cultural system, the idea of leisure and freedom; allowing space for the immateriality, the abstract, symbolic and its consequent reformulation into the realm of the visual.
El Grito de Dolores was first uttered on 16 September, 1810 in the small town of Dolores, near Guanajuato. and marked the beginning of the Mexican War of Independence.
The exhibition, El Grito, pays a respectful tribute to the land liberated from an oppressive Spanish rule and signals the triumph of it’s people enduring will for freedom.
